Soccer Game Preview: Swan Valley vs. Glenn

The Swan Valley Vikings will head out to challenge the Glenn Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Swan Valley came up short against Frankenmuth on Monday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Swan Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Frankenmuth are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Glenn had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Falcons. That's two games straight that Glenn have won by just one goal.

Glenn's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Swan Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Swan Valley couldn't quite get it done against Glenn in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
