Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central fell victim to Hampshire and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Whip-Purs, falling 7-0. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Whip-Purs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Central dropped their record down to 14-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Hampshire, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-7.

Coming up, Hampshire will host Conant at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Central will be paying especially close attention to the Whip-Purs' matchup: after the Whip-Purs face off against the Cougars, they'll take on Central again at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
