Baseball Recap: Reading Memorial's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Reading Memorial easily dispatched Wilmington on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Rockets fell just short of the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams by a score of 4-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rockets have suffered since April 11th.

Chase Williams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Isaac Robinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Reading Memorial's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0-1.
