Soccer Recap: Dobson Has No Trouble Against Apollo

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain Ridge, Dobson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Apollo Hawks. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Their offense was hitting Apollo from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Alexa Zambrano led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Dobson now has a winning record of 3-2-2. As for Apollo, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dobson and Gila Ridge will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gila Ridge's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Dobson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Apollo, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Independence at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
