Soccer Recap: Puyallup Falls Short Against Ranked Columbia River

Puyallup faced Columbia River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Rapids by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Puyallup couldn't push the score so high this time.

Having lost for the first time this season, Puyallup fell to 8-1-1. As for Columbia River, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Puyallup will square off against Graham-Kapowsin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia River, they will challenge Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
