Football Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Sterling Silver Knights. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

Shane Reilley threw for 132 yards on ten of 18 attempts. Anthony Dambrosio was his top target, picking up 123 receiving yards.

Holy Cross has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Sterling, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Holy Cross will face off against Camden Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
