Football Recap: Rockmart's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Rockmart had won six straight games and Nate Davis did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Murray County Indians 65-10 for which the team can thank Davis, who rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aa'Darian Samples, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made five total tackles, and defended one pass.

Rockmart's record now sits at 8-1. As for Murray County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
