St. Joseph D scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 38-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitefield Academy Lions. The Defenders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Whitefield Academy was led to victory by Natalie Jones and Ann Metcalf. Jones almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards, while Metcalf posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoebe O'Donnell, who had a point along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

St. Joseph D's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Whitefield Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Heritage Christian the next time they take the court. Whitefield Academy will head out to face Heritage Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while St. Joseph D will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
