Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Holy Cross's offense. They came up short against the Mid Valley Spartans on Tuesday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Crusaders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Holy Cross has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Mid Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Holy Cross will face off against rival Honesdale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mid Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Riverside at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
