Soccer Recap: Piper Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, Piper was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 7-1 to the Fort Lauderdale Flying L. Piper were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fort Lauderdale apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Piper's goal came courtesy of Allyson Knowles, who's now up to 20 this season.

Piper's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Fort Lauderdale, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Piper will be playing in front of their home fans against Blanche Ely at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Lauderdale, they are taking a road trip to square off against McArthur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
