Softball Game Preview: Denham Springs Yellowjackets vs. Highland Baptist Christian Bears

The Denham Springs Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the Highland Baptist Christian Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denham Springs has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 18.

Denham Springs fell victim to East Ascension and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 16-0 to the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Highland Baptist Christian also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Catholic - N.I. on Thursday, falling 11-0. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denham Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Highland Baptist Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Denham Springs' way against Highland Baptist Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Denham Springs made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Denham Springs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
