Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Clarkrange

There's no place like home for Clarkrange, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Gordonsville Tigers by a score of 52-42 on Friday. Given the Buffaloes' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Tigers are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clarkrange pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Gordonsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Clarkrange and Gordonsville will both be playing Red Boiling Springs the next time they take the court. Gordonsville will head out to face Red Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Clarkrange will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
