Basketball Recap: Kings Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kings Christian can now relate to. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taft Wildcats on Wednesday.

It was another big night for Ernie Laulu, who went 8-for-18 on his way to 27 points and five rebounds for Taft. Laulu's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Josh Cundiff, who went 6-for-8 en route to 13 points.

Kings Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Taft, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

Kings Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Taft, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-58 loss against Chowchilla on the 21st.
