Basketball Game Preview: Yuba City Honkers vs. Del Campo Cougars

Yuba City is on a six-game streak of home losses, Del Campo a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Yuba City Honkers will host the Del Campo Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Thursday, Yuba City came up short against River Valley and fell 52-41.

Yuba City's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jay Rai, who posted 13 points and three steals, and Xavier Armstrong, who put up nine points and seven boards. Armstrong is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Travis Lomeli was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Del Campo faced off against Roseville on Thursday. The contest between Del Campo and Roseville didn't end well, with Del Campo falling 67-52.

Yuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Del Campo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Things could have been worse for Yuba City, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 74-59 loss to Del Campo in their previous meeting back in February of 2020.
