Basketball Recap: Enderlin Comes Up Short

Enderlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 64-33 loss at the hands of the Hankinson Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 69-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Despite the defeat, Enderlin saw an underclassman step up: freshman Caleb Maasjo posted six points and five boards. Maasjo also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 75%. Karson Gruba was another key player, putting up ten points.

Enderlin's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Hankinson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Enderlin will challenge rival Maple Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Hankinson is set to take on their familiar foe Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will also be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
