Volleyball Recap: Monica Rodriguez Key Part of Team Effort in Longhorns Win

Tarkington picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Kinkaid Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tarkington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Monica Rodriguez, who had 14 assists and six digs. That's the most assists Rodriguez has posted over her last five matches. Another player making a difference was Paisley Hearn, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Tarkington's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Kinkaid, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Tarkington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Alamo Heights on the 16th. As for Kinkaid, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Midlothian Heritage on the 16th.
