It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Green Mountain had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 victory over the Sand Creek Scorpions. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Green Mountain was led to victory by Simon Lunsford and Sam Mielenz. Lunsford dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Mielenz shot 45% from the field en route to 17 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lunsford has scored at least a third of Green Mountain's points. Ben Swanson was another key player, putting up four points along with six boards and three steals.

Green Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 16-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Green Mountain's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. As for Sand Creek, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-7.

As of now, neither Green Mountain nor Sand Creek have any future games scheduled.
