Nation Ford won the last time they faced York and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Cougars.

Nation Ford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kason Canupp out in front who threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 100 yards. The Falcons' leading receiver Jayden Scott was Canupp's top target yet again, picking up 145 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Despite the loss, York still got an impressive performance from Tayshon Freeman, who rushed for 51 yards and one score, and also threw for 178 yards on 21 of 32 attempts. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Tacarean Douglas, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

The victory got Nation Ford back to even at 1-1. As for York, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Nation Ford will head out to square off against River Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for York, they will host Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
