Baseball Recap: Varnado Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Varnado's offense. They came up short against the Holden Rockets on Wednesday, falling 16-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Varnado's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Holden, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Coming up, Varnado will venture away from home to take on Kentwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holden, they will head out to challenge Maurepas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Rockets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
