Volleyball Recap: White River Valley Takes a Loss

White River Valley's tournament run continued when they took on South Vermillion on Saturday. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

While White River Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-9.

Hailey Grover paced White River Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Grover got some help from Evelyn Abrams and her 13 assists. Zyleigh Abrams-Condol controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

White River Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for South Vermillion, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Coming up, White River Valley will challenge Clay City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Vermillion, they will face off against Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
