Basketball Recap: Christel House Skates Past Northside L with Ease

Christel House had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Northside L Lions, posting an 83-41 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 42 points or more this season.

Christel House's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terrance Meredith, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points along with seven boards and four steals. That's the most boards Meredith has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Jackson, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 18 points and four steals.

Christel House smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Northside L still got an impressive performance from LINCOLN NOTTINGHAM, who posted two points and 22 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JEFFREY WHEELER, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Christel House is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Northside L, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Christel House didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-58 win against Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats on the 28th. As for Northside L, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-59 loss against KIPP Legacy on the 28th.
