Volleyball Game Preview: Columbia Wildcats vs. New Life Academy Bobcats

The Columbia Wildcats will head out to face off against the New Life Academy Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Columbia came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Hobgood Charter. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-12.

Meanwhile, New Life Academy came up short against Ahoskie Christian on Thursday and fell 3-1. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Ahoskie Christian 25-14 in the first set.

New Life Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-20.

New Life Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Columbia couldn't quite get it done against New Life Academy when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
