Softball Recap: San Juan Broncos vs. East Mountain Timberwolves
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Juan). They never let the East Mountain Timberwolves get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Broncos brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

Khatira Keith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Averie Gilson was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Keegan Palmer was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
San Juan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Mountain struck out six times.
With the victory, San Juan broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for East Mountain, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
