Volleyball Recap: Loomis Finds Home Court Redemption Against Bertrand

There's no place like home for Loomis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bertrand Vikings on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Vikings two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Loomis was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.

Ella Ellsworth paced Loomis' offense, picking up 11 kills. Ellsworth got some help from Sophia Schemper and her 26 assists. Finally, Ellsworth was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

With the win, Loomis broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 12-13. As for Bertrand, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Loomis has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Overton on the 13th. As for Bertrand, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Anselmo-Merna on the 10th.
