Preview: Horn Lake Eagles vs. Lewisburg Patriots
The Horn Lake Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lewisburg Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Horn Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday.
Horn Lake might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 28-14 to Hernando, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Horn Lake has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Horn Lake took the loss, they still got scores from Rodriunn Fairlee and Demarkus Crain.
Meanwhile, Lewisburg got themselves on the board against Southaven on Friday, but Southaven never followed suit. They walked away with a 7-0 win over the Chargers.
Lewisburg's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Jamar James and his two sacks.
Horn Lake's defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-6. Lewisburg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Horn Lake came up short against Lewisburg in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 15-7. Will Horn Lake have more luck at home instead of on the road?
