Basketball Recap: Aquinas Academy Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calvary Christian Academy, Aquinas Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Avon Grove Charter Wolves 31-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-20 back in December of 2024.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella Barrett, who posted 14 points. That's the most points Barrett has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Brison, who had seven points and eight steals.

Aquinas Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Avon Grove Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Aquinas Academy has already played their next game (against West Nottingham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Avon Grove Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-27 loss against Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the 30th.
