Volleyball Recap: Piper Comes Up Short

Piper lost against Nova back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bengals fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Nova scored at least ten points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 22-25, 15-10.

Aishalin Kinyua paced Piper's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kinyua got some help from Auria Paul and her 28 assists. Kinyua was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Piper's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Nova, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Piper will welcome Hallandale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nova, they will venture away from home to take on Flanagan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
