Basketball Recap: Lee Christian Piles Up the Points Against Bradford Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crossroads Christian, Lee Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Bradford Academy Archers 79-27. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Archers are ranked 629th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lee Christian had a senior duo take command as Justin Brown went 9 for 14 en route to 19 points and six steals and Daniel Rumbold went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists. That's the most steals Rumbold has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Luke Railo, who posted ten points along with six steals and five assists.

Lee Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Bradford Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee Christian will host North Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.8 points per game this season. As for Bradford Academy, they will welcome Grace Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradford Academy is facing Grace Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Grace Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
