Basketball Recap: Carlin Comes Up Short

Carlin played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Eureka Vandals and fell 49-9. The Railroaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-5.

When it comes to explaining why Carlin lost, don't look at Kylie Kennedy. Despite the final result, she posted six points and eight rebounds. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.

Megan Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Eureka, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Natalie Gray, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 14 points.

Carlin now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Eureka, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Carlin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 30-28 defeat against Lund on the 11th. As for Eureka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 29-17 win against Owyhee on the 11th.
