Meanwhile, Morgan Park Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to Francis W. Parker 40-36. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Morgan Park Academy came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Francis W. Parker is ranked 666th).
Morgan Park Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tiara Williams, who scored 33 points. The matchup was Williams' 11th in a row with at least ten points.
Wolcott College Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Morgan Park Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Wednesday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Wolcott College Prep have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 20.8 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Morgan Park Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 rebounds per game. Given Wolcott College Prep's sizeable advantage in that area, Morgan Park Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
