Baseball Game Preview: Badin Rams vs. Elder Panthers

The Badin Rams will challenge the Elder Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Saturday, Badin beat Springboro 5-1.

Brooks Treadway looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Austin Vangen was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted over his last ten games.

Badin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elder). They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over Colerain on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Badin pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Elder, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Badin took their win against Elder in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
