Basketball Recap: Palm Beach Lakes Comes Up Short

Palm Beach Lakes fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Centennial on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Centennial Eagles by a score of 69-67. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Jayden Prosper was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 13 on his way to 22 points for Centennial. That's the most points Prosper has posted since back in December of 2024. Felix Buroz was another key player, putting up five points in addition to ten assists, eight steals, and seven boards.

Palm Beach Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Centennial, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Palm Beach Lakes is taking a road trip to square off against Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dwyer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
