Recap: Pocomoke Warriors vs. Snow Hill Eagles

If the Pocomoke Warriors were feeling good off their 77-23 takedown of the Mardela Warriors last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pocomoke fell 77-68 to Snow Hill on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Pocomoke's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jamir Roberts, who scored 24 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, and Michael Ames who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Ames also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Bonneville, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.

Pocomoke's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Snow Hill, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Pocomoke will head out on the road to challenge Parkside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Parkside is ranked 176th, while Pocomoke is ranked 171st). Snow Hill will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Crisfield on January 16th. Crisfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
