Soccer Game Preview: Holmes vs. Stevens

Holmes is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Stevens a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Holmes Huskies will look to defend their home pitch against the Stevens Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Holmes didn't have quite enough to beat Marshall and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Holmes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 661st, while Marshall are ranked 278th).

Holmes' goal came courtesy of Yanick Nkeih, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Stevens lost 4-1 to Marshall on Friday.

Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-2.
