Basketball Recap: Wood-Ridge Comes Up Short

Wood-Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 71-40 defeat at the hands of the St. Mary Gaels. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Gaels are ranked 56th).

Wood-Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for St. Mary, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Wood-Ridge has already played their next match, a 72-65 defeat against Becton on the 23rd. As for St. Mary, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-46 victory against Hasbrouck Heights on the 23rd.
