Second-ranked senior prospect Chet Homgren guides a talented Red Hawks roster.
Minnehaha Academy (Minneapolis, Minn.) lost all-time leading scorer Jalen Suggs but the No. 17 Redhawks still have Chet Holmgren, the nation's second-ranked senior, to
lead the charge for a talented returning cast.
The
7-foot Holmgren was a first team MaxPreps Junior All-American last
season after averaging 14.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 4.9 blocks for the 25-3 Redhawks. He's joined by top 150 junior Prince Aligbe
along with a capable returning backcourt of Hercy Miller, Donovan Smith and Isaiah Davis, all of whom played significant roles last season for coach Lance Johnson.
Minnehaha
Academy finished 2-1 at last month's Top Flight Invite preseason event with wins over Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)
and Lake Norman Christian (Davidson, N.C.).
The
Minnesota power tackles a challenging national schedule that
includes No. 3 Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.), No. 11 Camden
(N.J.) and No. 24 Houston (Germantown, Tenn.).
