Meanwhile, after soaring to 39 points the game before, Clayton Valley Charter was a bit more limited in their game last Friday. The contest between the Ugly Eagles and Liberty didn't end well, with the Ugly Eagles falling 31-13. While the Ugly Eagles had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Lions 13-3.
Las Lomas will have to contain Jhadis Luckey as he made an impact in Clayton Valley Charter's last game. He rushed for 116 yards and one TD. Luckey is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 116 every time he's taken the field this season.
Las Lomas' win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Sekulich and Luckey. Sekulich just won't slow down this season and has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 153.7 rushing yards per game. Luckey has been a dominant force too and has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 200.6 rushing yards per game.
Las Lomas came up short against Clayton Valley Charter in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 29-22. Thankfully for the Knights, Hayezon Jackson (who rushed for 224 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
