Football Recap: Lincoln County Falls to Winfield in First Game of Season

Lincoln County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 55-8 loss at the hands of the Winfield Generals. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Generals from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Jack Shull threw for 43 yards on five of 13 attempts. On the ground, Kody Adkins rushed for 34 yards.

Jared Miller went supernova For Winfield., throwing for 172 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also punching in one TD on the ground. Brock Graziani made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lincoln County will challenge rival Ripley at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. Meanwhile, Winfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Herbert Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
