Softball Game Preview: San Leandro Pirates vs. Arroyo Dons

San Leandro is 2-8 against Arroyo since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dons at 5:00 p.m. San Leandro's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Arroyo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when San Leandro and Bishop O'Dowd meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Pirates took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Arroyo suffered their biggest defeat since February 24th on Wednesday. They came up short against Castro Valley, falling 16-3.

Aneesa Aguon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

San Leandro's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Arroyo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
