Softball Recap: Kimball Comes Up Short

Tracy hit Kimball with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jaguars lost 13-3 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-2 loss on April 3rd.

Kimball saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madisyn Zamora, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Kimball and nudges their season record down to 13-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 13-5 Lodi (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 81.1% over those games). As for Tracy, their victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Kimball will challenge Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Flames will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tracy, they will square off against Calaveras at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
