Elgin dropped their record down to 9-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 4-1 to the Perry Commodores. The match marked the Comets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Perry, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.
