Preview: Brighton Bulldogs vs. Wheat Ridge Farmers
The Brighton Bulldogs will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Wheat Ridge Farmers at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Brighton struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (Pomona had 1000% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Brighton falling 45-30.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Emily Rivas, who scored 8 points. She scored a full 26.7% of Brighton's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Hirsch, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wheat Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Westminster on the road and fell 64-11.
Douglas County's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Brighton's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
