Baseball Recap: Princeton Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Princeton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Evansville Central Bears, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Jaron Clutter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Clutter was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Quinn Bush, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Princeton's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Evansville Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
