Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Como Park

Como Park strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Roosevelt Teddies. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 15-11 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Laya James, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Coyle, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Como Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt only posted a batting average of .200.

Como Park's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Roosevelt, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Como Park has already played their next match (against Park Center), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Roosevelt, they have also already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Washburn on the 16th.
