Baseball Recap: Wright Takes a Loss

Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Tomahawk Hatchets, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hatchets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 on Friday.

Wright saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Buerger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Tomahawk, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright will take on Hurley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tomahawk, they will square off against Antigo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
