Socastee faced Carolina Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Braves walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

While Socastee might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Carolina Forest scored at least 22 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Carolina Forest still got an impressive performance from Alex Nikolov, who had 27 digs. With that strong performance, Nikolov is now averaging an impressive 11.1 digs per game. Wyatt Turner also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.

Socastee's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Carolina Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
