Softball Recap: Moultonborough Academy Beats Lin-Wood for Their Sixth Straight Win

Moultonborough Academy entered their tilt with Lin-Wood on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Lumberjacks with a sharp 18-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Moultonborough Academy got a massive performance out of Evelynn Buy, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Buy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Nagle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Moultonborough Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Moultonborough Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lin-Wood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
