Volleyball Recap: La Quinta Aztecs vs. Western Pioneers
La Quinta managed to slip by Western the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Aztecs lost 3-0 to the Pioneers on Thursday. The Aztecs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
La Quinta was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Western work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 26-24.
La Quinta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Western, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
La Quinta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Estancia on the 26th. As for Western, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Century on the 26th.
