Football Recap: Derry Takes a Loss

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Derry was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 23-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southmoreland Scotties. The Trojans have struggled against the Scotties recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Southmoreland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Wolfe, who threw for 178 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 178 passing yards gave Wolfe a new career-high.

Derry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Southmoreland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
