With a playoff win on the line, Chatsworth rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Poly Parrots 4-3. The Chancellors haven't had any issues with the Parrots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Sammy Roldan spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chatsworth's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lila Mashhoud, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Chatsworth's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Poly, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Coming up, Chatsworth will take on Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Chancellors surely won't give up without a fight. Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
